I am Chea Sameang, 25 years old and a graduate student majoring in International Relations at Pannasstra University of Cambodia. I am originally from Pursat Province. Currently, I stay at Botom Pagoda, where I have spent nearly 10 years for studying during my monkhood. My favorite subjects which I love the most is politics and history. Normally, I always read books about politics, psychology, ideology, and Cambodia history during my free time, and of course, I always read national and international news every day. Moreover, I do love to write a blog too, and I have my own blog which is written about my afloat life since I was kid. During my weekend, I usually join volunteers, and participant in any programs that would benefit to my life and society. Volunteering and interning with NGOs has brought me practical experience and skills. I have spent three months doing an internship with the Phnom Penh Post as a translator from Khmer to English. And I also spent 3 months doing an internship with Teach For Cambodia (NGOs) as program Manager, and 6 months as assistance Administrative Officer. Currently, I also intern at AVI in the department of Democracy and Innovation, and I also volunteer as code translator at CambodiaCode.org Community. In the future, I want to be a Cambodian researcher and a professional journalist. Last but not least, I am proud to received professional journalism training from Newsroom Cambodia at the Cambodia Center for Independence Media.
